Wireless charging stand
A smartphone stand for the Braun BWC02 wireless charger
This stand was designed for the non MagSafe compatible, 2022 released, Nothing Phone 1. So it is a stand like those of the good old days, it works thanks only to gravity, no magnetism involved. That is, except for the wireless charging feature. For that it uses a Braun BWC02 wireless charger.
I've been meaning to posses a Braun device for as long as I've known that Braun made hip products. I've also watched the awesome documentary on Dieter Rams. This particular gadget has a great looking aluminum chassis (if you squint your eyes you can see the an iPhone 4 in it), 15W of power output, usb C port (placed right into the geometrical middle) and an indicator light (which is covered by my stand). All for 10 euros1 on Amazon. The charger pad slots into the plastic perfectly and doesn't need any fixture.
This image shows the Nothing Phone 1 inside of an iPhone 15 Pro Max compatible Clicks Keyboard on the 3d printed stand. Super weird combination. The compatibility with the super tall keyboard case was a priority when i designed the stand. Nowadays I'm using that case less and resorting to the included normie one made of transparent plastic. For this reason I've created an adapter, that attaches magnetically.
